An 8th grade student will leave St. Joseph School with the following qualities:

• Will be prepared through a rigorous and challenging curriculum to advance their academic career in high school and beyond.
• Will possess sufficient drive to be critical thinkers and intellectually disciplined enough to be problem solvers.
• Will value literacy not only as the vehicle of proficient learners, but as an enjoyable use of free time.
• Will understand the contributions they make to their local and global community.
• Will continue to be the living representation of Jesus by showing respect for people of different faiths and cultures.
• Will show respect for people of different faith and cultures.
• Will respect, serve, empathize and respond to others with compassion and sensitivity.
• Will emulate the Gospel message in their daily lives.
• Will above all else know and understand Christian values and apply these to their church and community.
• Will value prayer in their daily lives.
• Will utilize lessons learned as peacemakers to mediate problems and practice anger management strategies.
• Will be good stewards, conscious of their partnerships with our earth, and be examples for others.
